Daylana Ervin-Parker is the Director of
Budget and Supplier Inclusion at Blue
Cross Blue Shield of MA. She created a
holistic framework to support a strategy
for engaging innovative suppliers. The
framework’s three pillars are 1) foster relationships
and networking with all suppliers to create contract
opportunities and drive organizational value, 2) partner
with various organizations, like the Greater Boston
Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of
Massachusetts, to develop supplier capacity-building
programs, and 3) participate in marketplace activities
and roundtable discussions to exchange thought
leadership and facilitate connections that could lead
to future supplier contracts.
To promote supplier management and procurement
success, Daylana builds relationships with internal
stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
The organizational champions assist with increasing
the visibility of suppliers to key decision-makers.
She is always looking for ways to broaden partnerships
with other organizations. Recently, Blue Cross
Blue Shield of Massachusetts collaborated with local
higher education institutions to build a pipeline for
suppliers. Daylana has also developed robust data
analytics and reporting for supplier performance measurement.
This information has been a game-changer
for reporting updates to leadership.
