Guided by the innovative leadership of Marcia Hunter, Sr. Program Manager of Supplier Development, Stellantis has made
remarkable strides in supplier development. Recently, the company achieved a significant spend with businesses owned by
underrepresented groups, marking a major milestone since the program's inception. Marcia's groundbreaking approach
includes the implementation of advanced data tools to meticulously track all suppliers' sourcing opportunities and performance.
Her efforts are exemplified by the Stellantis MatchMaker Tradeshow, a flagship event that attracts over 1,500 attendees and
150 exhibitors annually for networking and sourcing opportunities. Additionally, Marcia has been instrumental in supporting the
National Business Supplier Development Program and developing the MentorWE program, both programs supports the development
of underrepresented groups in ensuring their seamless integration into other Supplier Development initiatives supporting
automotive supply chains.
Marcia employs several strategies, including embedding supplier development into procurement processes and leveraging technology
and data analytics. She aligns supplier development with corporate sustainability goals by promoting sustainable sourcing,
partnering with suppliers, encouraging ESG alignment, and creating economic growth opportunities. Marcia also contributes to
industry-wide supplier inclusion efforts.
