Tiffany McCullough Develops Innovative Strategies to Increase New Supplier Inclusion

Tiffany McCullough became the Global Lead of Inclusive Procurement Strategy at the Gates Foundation in October 2023, focusing on eliminating barriers for diverse and underrepresented firms and nonprofit grantees within the Foundation's sourcing and procurement functions. She developed a registration portal for operations and programmatic partners, enhancing access to opportunities by making the portal available on mobile devices. This initiative resulted in a 50% increase in the inclusion of diverse vendor partners and grantees within six months.

Tiffany's work exemplifies a tradition of excellence carried forward from her previous roles. At Skanska, she identified a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) capable of managing a building expansion project as a super-sub, creating opportunities for smaller, underrepresented firms to participate and expand their capacity. At Amazon Web Services, Tiffany introduced a professional designation program that certified suppliers could obtain through AWS-provided training, allowing clients to shop for suppliers aligned with their economic impact and sustainability goals. In her current role, Tiffany's strategy includes identifying opportunities for increased return on impact and efficiency improvements that are achievable with new, qualified firms.
