As the Operations Manager of the Warehouse and Inventory Management Division, Procurement Department, Tracy oversees
a team responsible for procuring and supplying needed items throughout the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The
Warehouse & Inventory Management Division is responsible for the operation of five facility warehouses and two emergency
warehouses in New York and New Jersey that provide critical items needed to sustain facility operations and transportation continuity.
Tracy Slate works to implement innovative and transformative solutions to maximize inclusion in the solicitation process. She
facilitates divisional training on internal supplier resources to established strategies with her team, conducts market research, and
engages in outreach to diverse suppliers across various commodity categories. This has led to significant achievements in advancing
opportunities for small businesses.
Tracy was also responsible for implementing an innovative, cost-saving approach to purchasing critical airfield items such as
energy efficient LED runway lights, airfield cable, transformers, light bases and ground rod. The effort required collaboration with
multiple suppliers to mitigate long-lead items and meet project timelines, which avoided any delays that could impact the traveling
public and air travel schedules nationwide.
